Rare Coins for the COLLector and InVESTor!

Like many others who enjoy collecting US coins, as well as purchasing certain coins for their investment potential, my excitement began at a young age. As time went by, the excitement grew into a passion and as income allowed, I began investing in certain coins while continuing to grow and upgrade my personal collection.

I have been involved in the acquisition, sale and consignment of many common and rare coins for collectors and investors, working primarily within a small coin-dealer network, for over 20 years. For a few years in the early 1980's, I enjoyed a rare opportunity to work for a well known rare coin company, where one of my responsibilities was to travel around the country attending various coin shows for the purpose of finding and acquiring coins for their collector and investor clients. This journey has allowed me to meet many wonderful and fascinating people. I have also been fortunate enough to work with and alongside some important figures in the industry.

I do not have a typical retail store where people can come in and browse. So I decided to produce this website to provide similar opportunities to browse and obtain the coins you are looking for. As time and energy allow, more inventory will be posted. So check back often. I operate from a business office and meet with people on an appointment basis only. Coins are NOT kept in the office for security reasons. If you are local and would like to view a potential purchase, please call for an appointment. I also exhibit at various local and regional New England coin shows. So keep and eye out for CollVest Coins if you attend any of those shows.

The passion for collecting and the thrill of owning investment quality coins never goes away. It gives me great pleasure to be able to provide the opportunity to acquire U.S. Coins that will bring joy to own and possibly increase in value over time.

Things I Can Guarantee:

"Real Time" inventory control is always a challenge. All coins are offered subject to availability. If you purchase a coin that has been sold at a show or outside of the website before I was able to remove it from the website, I will refund your money and then try to find you an acceptable replacement.

Raw coins will be accurately graded, according to current ANA Grading Standards. Slabbed coins will be reviewed for proper grading as well. Click above to read more details on grading. All coins will be offered at fair market value according to current market conditions and demand.

When offering "Raw-Uncertified" coins, I will never knowingly offer a coin that is counterfeit. If it is determined, by PCGS, NGC or ANACS that the coin you have purchased from me is counterfeit, please contact me immediately and I will make the necessary arrangements to refund your purchase price.

I don't clean or "doctor" coins. I sell them as I buy them and sometimes a lightly cleaned or properly cleaned coin can still be a good deal. If I know a coin has been cleaned, I will inform you of this in the coin's description. Sometimes a piece could slip by me and may turn out to have been cleaned but I will never intentionally offer you a cleaned or doctored coin without letting you know.

Things I Cannot Guarantee:

U.S. Coins, whether common, scarce or rare, increase and decrease in value according to market conditions. The only thing I cannot guarantee is that your purchase will increase in value. On the flip side (no pun intended) I cannot guarantee that your purchase will decrease in value either. There are numerous publications and books available that a collector or investor can and should read to determine which purchases would be best for them. So, although the name "CollVest Coins" suggests the offering of coins for their investment potential, as stated above an increase in value cannot be guaranteed.
